WHY YOU’LL LOVE IT

Why you’ll love India

Why you’ll love India

india has been on your list for years. and every time you start looking into it? it feels like too much to take on by yourself. too big, too busy, too many trains to figure out. so it stays on the list. you'll start in delhi with a rickshaw ride through old delhi, then take the overnight train to udaipur for a sunset boat on lake pichola. next it's pool days and a sunrise temple trek in pushkar, then jaipur for a cooking class with a local family, amber fort and holi itself, the festival of colours. you'll finish with a jeep safari in ranthambore and the taj mahal at sunrise. we won't pretend india is calm. it's loud, it's busy and there's a lot going on all at once. that's exactly why this is the way to do it: the trains, vans and tickets are booked, your guide knows where everyone's going, and all you have to do is take it in (and get covered in paint on day 9).

IS THIS TRIP FOR YOU?

Solo female travel to India: what to expect

Solo female travel to India: what to expect

Solo female travel to India: what to expect

This trip is for you if…

india's been on your list forever, but doing it alone has always felt like a step too far

you've been holding it together for a while and you want a day where you just let go and laugh

you want the big moments in one go: holi, the taj mahal, palaces, forts and a tiger safari

you're curious about the culture, the food and the temples, and happy to dress respectfully at sacred sites

you'd love to try an overnight train in india, with the girls and a guide who knows the drill

you're happy sharing a twin room and swapping roomies as you go

Maybe not for you if…

you're not up for travelling as a group or meeting new people

crowds, noise and busy streets really stress you out

you'd rather unpack once and stay put (there are 6 stops in 14 days)

early starts aren't for you, because the taj mahal and the safari both start before sunrise

AVERAGE AGE

mostly 25 to 40

GROUP SIZE

up to 20

PACE

busy, 6 stops in 14 days with a few early starts

How physical

moderate. there's lots of walking around cities, temples and forts, a sunrise trek up to a hilltop temple in pushkar and a couple of very early starts. bring comfy trainers and clothes you don't mind ruining for holi.

The vibe

busy, colourful and a little bit chaotic in the best way. rickshaws and palaces one day, pool afternoons the next, then one day of pure, paint-everywhere joy in jaipur.

First solo trip?

honestly? india is the one most girls say they'd never do alone, and that's exactly why it works as a group trip. every train, van and ticket is sorted, your guide is with you from delhi to delhi, and you'll be in your trip group chat around 4 weeks before you fly.
