WHY YOU’LL LOVE IT

Why you’ll love Japan

Why you’ll love Japan

japan is the trip you've been saying "one day" about for years. the one you've saved on your phone, watched every vlog for, and kept waiting to find someone to do it with. this is your sign to stop waiting. you'll make sushi in tokyo, cross shibuya crossing and finally see teamLab planets (yes, the one all over your feed). then it's mt fuji, your first bullet train, a night in a buddhist temple, the orange gates of fushimi inari, a kendo class with an actual samurai descendant, and a last night of street food and karaoke in osaka. and you won't be doing it alone. the trains, the language, the etiquette? all handled. your only job is soaking it all up, and deciding which convenience store snack to try next.

Love love love FFS!!

Love love love FFS! Japan was my third trip with Gabi, and honestly the trips just get better each time! I love the vibe of the trips and have made some amazing friends on all the trips I’ve been on(which is great for future plans & meet ups!) Gabi is always super helpful when the group chats are created and always there to support. All the local tour guides I’ve had have always been great and again always there for us. I cannot stop recommending FFS to friends & colleagues! You will not regret booking a trip :)

Just okay

If I attend a FFS tour again it would only be because of the great community of women and the chance to make friends while travelling. The actual tour & our guide had room for improvement: The itinerary with trains/stops/activities were only sent the night before each day and weren’t very informative. It would have been more helpful to be formatted in bullet points, and there were no estimated timings for the day leaving us to guess/ask the guide a lot of questions each day. It would have been easier if the itinerary was sent earlier so we could better plan our time. Clearer itinerary would also help manage expectations. For example, we didn’t get to ride the mt Fuji cable car because of windy conditions and it just didn’t occur to me that we might not even be able to take it because of weather (which is fine, safety comes first) but I was disappointed and would have been less bothered if I knew it was a possibility we wouldn’t get to go up. This also affected the mood of the tour group that day as there wasn’t an immediate alternative plan - just some vague suggestions of places we could navigate to ourselves rather than a backup guided activity. We also didn’t get to do the river boat due to weather which was a shame. Two activities being cancelled due to weather isn’t something we could have influenced but considering these were ‘included’ in the cost of the overall trip there should have been a replacement activity included instead. Towards the end of the trip I was fed up of having to ask ‘where are we going?’ ‘How long will it take to get there?’ ‘Are we getting a bus or walking?’ I feel like this is all very basic information that we should be told as a group before moving on to each new activity. A few times during the trip girls were left behind accidentally by the guide who only noticed when one of us mentioned they were missing or when the girl missing messaged the group chat. We were only told by our guide to book a geisha performance in advance when we were already on the train to Kyoto and all performances were sold out. I booked onto a guided trip to not need to do the research myself and I expect to be told in advance when I need to book these types of activities. Because we weren’t given the full itinerary/timings in advance there was also no way for us to have known when we’d have free time to book for these types of activities. There were many small examples of things like this throughout the whole trip, and while the overall experience of travelling Japan was amazing, I don’t feel like it was good value for money based on the quality of tour guide and planning. If I attended a FFS tour again, I’d do so with the knowledge that I’m not paying for the convenience of a knowledgeable guided tour experience but rather for the opportunity to make friends with likeminded women.

Exactly the kind of trip I was looking for.

What truly made this trip unforgettable wasn't just the stunning sights, but the amazing group of women I traveled with. Everyone was so lovely, and there was such a wonderful, no-pressure atmosphere where we could all just laugh and be ourselves. A huge shout-out to our guide, Daan! His knowledge of Japan is top-notch, and he played a massive role in making everything run smoothly. If you're looking for a fun, comfortable, and insightful way to see Japan, this is it!

First trip females flying solo

This was my first solo group trip with females flying solo and one life adventures. I was hesitant at first of going with unknown group of girls but I wouldn’t have had it any other way. Itinerary was perfect and I didn’t have to worry about anything which made me more relaxed during the trip. Our tour guide Chloe Sherry was the best. She is so knowledgeable on the area and spoke multiple languages as well. She was such a genuine person and one of my favorite people on the tour. Kaitlyn was a great ambassador for females flying solo. We loved our pink shirts. We had so much fun making sushi, TeamLabs, and going to multiple temples and shrines. I did not expect the temple tatami mats to be enjoyable but I was pleasantly impressed. Not only did I visit one of the most beautiful places that I’ve always wanted to but I made lots of new friends. I would definitely go on one of these trips again.

Solo travel that isn’t lonely!!

This trip was incredible! So jam packed with so many activities and sight seeing, my feet hurt by the end of the trip but in the best way possible! I feel like I didn’t miss out on anything I wanted to see as you tick so much off!! Sherry was a great tour guide, approachable, felt like one of your old friends. All the girls on the trip became good friends, it was a fun and easy way to travel without having a friend from home who was free to travel with me at the time!

Manifesting Mt. Fuji

I had an incredible experience traveling all around Japan for the first time! From start to finish, every moment was packed with fun, culture, and unforgettable memories. One of my favorite activities was the sushi making class, it was hands-on and delicious. I also enjoyed visiting all the stunning temples and singing away at karaoke! Beyond seeing all of the amazing sights, I loved the chance to meet new friends from all over the world! The girls were all s so sweet and had such great energy! Our brand ambassador Kaitlyn was a fantastic addition as well! She soaked in every moment with us, making the experience even more memorable. I can’t recommend females flying solo enough for anyone wanting a fun, immersive, journey through Japan. This trip was truly unforgettable!

Perfect tour around Japan for the girlies 🫶🏼🌸

The females flying solo tour was a perfect group getaway for likeminded girlies who are looking to explore a new country, but it would not have been the same without Sherry, our tour guide. She was always hyping the group up and kept the energy high even when we were tired and, in my opinion, was the reason the tour worked so well. Only a few changes to the itinerary that were out of our control and she handled it like a boss! We also had Kaitlyn, the FFS brand ambassador, in our group who supported us throughout! <3

The best trip with the best community

I had the best time on this trip! Japan was so fascinating and we had a number of different activities to get to know the culture and the people. We had the best tour guide who was eager to answer any question and went above and beyond for us. I'm very thankful for each and every person I have met and couldn't have asked for a better group of women to travel with. I felt very comfortable and happy the whole time. I have traveled solo before so that wasn't a challenge for me, but it made me even happier to watch so many women to get encouraged as well because I feel like it's one of the best experiences and the best way to grow as a person. So, I'm thankful that a community like this exists that encourages so many women. ♡

Incredible Japan experience

Dale's the most funny, kind and motivated guide I've ever had! He's cracking jokes all the time and is basically the best photographer to have on a trip. He's spontaneous and always tries to make the trip as memorable and enjoyable as possible for every single one! He goes above and beyond and definitely lifted the trip to new heights. The itinerary was awesome, included everything I wanted, though very strictly timed, he made sure to always let us have time to relax and breathe. Always sharing tips and tricks with us, making sure the moral stayed high and even cooked delicious food for us!

I’m so glad I went to Japan with femalesflyingsolo! Apart from meeting amazing girls from all over the world and having the most amazing guide everrrr (all the love for Dale), this tour made sure we had so many activities included, that we wouldn’t even think about doing alone - like the kendo class or temple stay. Imogen always brought the good vibes to the group and we had so much fun, I miss it so much. I can’t stop recommending this 10/10 would do it again!

What I liked the best: you just book, show up and the rest is taked care of.
